For the latest instalment in its musical series, asked emerging groups to record cover versions of their favourite British love songs.

Songs included on the loved-up mix tape, going live on Mulberry’s site tomorrow morning, are The Rolling Stones’ “Love in Vain”, Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere”, Jesus and Mary Chain’s “Sometimes Always”, Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” and David Bowie’s “Prettiest Star”.

Adding another layer to the musical love note is the fact that a number of the artists they tapped are couples in the romantic sense, as well as the musical. Olivia Merilahti and Dan Levy of The Dø and Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey of Summercamp (they tackled “Everywhere”) are partners onstage and off.

Also singing are Camden-based band Tribes, Citizen!, and Kacey Underwood and Alice Costelloe of Big Deal.

Find the love songs, plus past performances from Hurts, Kasabian and Lana Del Rey, on Mulberry’s blog from tomorrow morning. Slow-dance partner not included...
