Selfridges opens a skate park

Everyone wants to be a skater girl, right? And Selfridges knows, which is why they’re launching a six week celebration of all things skate, complete with a real life skate park. Really.

The pop-up park opens tomorrow in the Old Selfridges Hotel, London. Sponsored by HTC, it’s the UK’s largest covered skatepark and is inspired by seven of the best loved parks across the country, including the Southbank’s Undercroft

Don’t have a board? No problem – just head into the store and pick you favourite from one of the 50 that have been designed exclusively for the project by everyone from Kenzo to Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant to 3.1 Phillip Lim. You can even buy the hardware to finish them courtesy of legendary London store, Slam City Skates. And, to make sure you look the part, the Selfridges team has curated skate shoes, sweatshirts and backpacks alongside.
