Following last week's shock news that L'Wren Scott had committed suicide, the designer and partner of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger was laid to rest at a private service in Los Angeles yesterday.

Held at the Hollywood Forever Funeral Home, the intimate ceremony was attended by family and close friends including Nicole Kidman and Bryan Adams.

'The service with blessings and prayers… Included memories and words of tribute from Mick Jagger, her brother Randy Bambrough, Justinian Kfoury, Ira M. Hammons-Glass and Adam Glassman,' said spokeswoman Fran Curtis.

Poems and psalms were shared by Jagger’s daughters Karis and Jade and his grandchildren, Mazie and Zak.

Scott, 49, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment on 17 March. The medical examiner’s office ruled that the former fashion model had committed suicide by hanging. A spokesperson subsequently denied initial reports that her business had been in financial trouble.
