Abercrombie and Fitch - the label synonymous with varsity casuals and those topless male models - is having a rebranding, by reworking their classic stylesusing model de jour Neelam Gill to front the campaign. Still encompassing that All-American feel, the new Abercrombie is cooler, more contemporary and wracking up a hefty wishlist.

We caught up with Neelam Gill to find out why the Abercrombie & Fitch campaign was so special to her:

1 | What is your favourite piece that your wore from the collection?

The double denim, because it's classic Abercrombie & Fitch with a twist! I love how it was styled!

2 | What is your earliest Abercrombie & Fitch memory?

I remember seeing the iconic campaigns, shot by Bruce Weber and being in awe! The images were black, white, natural and raw. It embodied a surfer and beach vibe. I also worked in retail at Hollister for two years whilst I was in school, so I'd be on the shop floor gazing at the campaigns dreaming that it would be me someday. So when I got to model for Abercrombie & Fitch in New York City, it was quite surreal and humbling.

3 | How does the collection fit in with your personal style?

I love how the pieces are effortless. My personal style is quite similar, as I don't like my outfits looking too 'put together'.

4 | Do you have any tips on how to wear the pieces?

I would personally wear them slightly oversized and slouchy. But most importantly, be confident!

5 | Which piece is top of your Christmas wish list?

The Abercrombie & Fitch white sweatshirt because it can be paired with so many looks!

The collection will be available in November from £25-£250, online and in the London flagship Burlington Gardens store.
