Alexander Wang has taken digital printing to a whole new level by teaming up with Samsung to design a bag using the new GALAXY Note II mobile phone. The arty collaboration was conceived to help provide funds for Art Start, a charity that uses creative workshops to nurture the talents of underprivileged children in New York.

The phone pioneers a cool ‘S Pen’ that transforms it into a tablet, allowing users to personalise messages, such as writing extra details on maps, or funny notes on YouTube video links. To ‘capture the energy of New York City’, Wang clubbed together a group of close pals - meaning some of NY's coolest stylists, photographers, and other creatives - to sketch ‘doodles’ on the device.

The Balenciaga creative director curated every sketch into one mash-up print and hey presto, the limited-edition Alexander Wang Wallie gym sack was born: a characteristically slick, unisex leather drawstring bag, covered in the collaborative black and grey design.

The bag will go on sale this September in ‘key markets’ around the world as well as online and will retail at about $550.
