Goga Ashkenazi, the Kazakh oil billionaire and fashion investor, has acquired all outstanding shares in the French fashion brand to become its sole owner.

Ashkenazi bought into Vionnet in May, and reportedly stepped up her investment by purchasing all remaining shares from past owners Matteo Marzotto and Marni CEO Gianni Castiglioni.

Since Ashkenazi joined, co-designers Barbara and Lucia Croce have departed, with an in-house design team fulfilling their responsibilities. The brand's new owner has yet to reveal further plans for Vionnet, which celebrated its centennial in October.
