Ever wondered what it must be like to be backstage before the Alexander McQueen show in Paris?
Well, here’s your chance. An intimate new video capturing the grace and drama of Sarah Burton’s spring summer 2013 show is here.
Although the gowns and intricate tailored suits appear impressive from a distance, the chance to see them up close, to really view the texture, and painstaking craftsmanship of a dress, for example, that has a skirt made with over 9000 flower petals each one applied by hand, takes the backstage witnessing experience to a whole new level.
This beautiful short film by Sean Frank takes us into the backstage world of Alexander McQueen where hair stylist Guido Palau and make-up supremo Peter Philips are working their magic on the likes of Suvi Koponen and Zuzanna Bijoch in the backstage melee before the show.
Sublime.
