If your appetite for summer has officially been whet (guilty), head directly to Banana Republic: its long-awaited, limited-edition capsule collection by Milly lands in-store and online today.

Inspired by ‘the summer sophistication of the Hamptons’, the collection is awash with throw-on-and-go pieces – like the trophy maxi Coco Rocha is making look so covetable here – in vintage-inspired prints and candy colours zjujed up with flashes of neon.

As part of the collaboration, Milly creator Michelle Smith has also turned her hand to menswear for the first time, meaning the collection weighs in at an impressive 60-plus pieces and boasts a bespoke print created exclusively for Banana, as well as six classic ones given a fresh twist.

‘We wanted to focus on the vibrant colors and optimistic patterns that highlight the inspiring, fun-loving summer season,’ explains Banana Republic creative director and executive vice president of design, Simon Kneen.

‘Michelle’s keen sense of color, print and pattern are the perfect complement to Banana Republic, and her Hamptons-chic style is a new take on aspirational summer dressing for our consumers.’

Adds Smith: ‘I’ve always been a fan of Banana Republic, and when I met Simon we had an immediate and lasting connection. ‘It’s a very positive, happy collection and I think the colors and patterns really capture the modern spirit of summer.’

Now, if only we could buy the sunshine to go with it all…
