It is the first time in her 25-year career that the model, who is 39 this month, has fronted the Parisian label.
Moss joins Serbian artist Marina Abramovic and her baby daughter, Italian model Mariacarla Boscono, Spanish bullfighter Jose Maria Manzaranes and artist, Jared Buckhiester in a series of black and white images captured by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Pigott.
Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci explains that the campaign is about family ‘something that is difficult to find in today’s world. It’s about real people, only taking the best of their personalities, with no effort.’
Capturing this effortless look to perfection, Moss wears a rubbery frilled sleeveless top and sunglasses with her signature mussed up hair.
The campaign is the latest in a string of successes for Moss; she is also the face of Stuart Weitzman shoes and Versace this season, and has released a successful book, Kate: The Kate Moss Book last year.
