Add another name to the short list of people who can get away with wearing sunglasses in a fashion-show setting: Bono.

The U2 frontman supported wife and founder Ali Hewson at the brand’s AW13 presentation at . And he seemed all too delighted to let someone else take the spotlight.

‘I’m just happy to be at someone else’s show,’ he told us after the presentation. ‘I enjoy it much better when it’s my missus.’

This season, the missus—along with creative director Sharon Wauchob—presented a collection rich with biker spirit. Edun girls and guys showed their rebellious sides in grungy tartan prints and studded leather skirts.

Biker jackets came oversized, fitted, sleeveless or jutting out in the back, cape-like. Delicate chain embellishments read like safety pins shimmering from dresses, shirts and scarves.

It was a cohesive show that provided onlookers with more to think about than the brand’s fair-trade credentials.

‘Trying to make the aesthetic more important than the philosophy has been the challenge for Edun, because people can understand the values, but the clothes have to be great—they have to drown out the do-gooder aspect,’ Bono said. ‘And to my eyes, it looks extremely stylish.’
