Founded back in 1970 by Joan Burstein and her husband Sidney (who sadly passed away last week), Browns has been the go-to for London's style setters for an incredible four decades. Now the Browns team has used its considerable influence - let's face it, who wouldn't jump at the chance to work with Mrs B et al? - to persuade London designers to re-launch some of their most memorable pieces, or to design something new and exclusive for the store.
Launching tomorrow, the collection of Future Collectables is being released as a thank you to all of you loyal customers. You'll be able to snap up a bandage dress from Christopher Kane's first collection, a classic Burberry trench or a floral printed dress by Erdem. In fact the list of designers getting in on the act reads like a who's who of the fashion world - Stella McCartney, Sonia Rykiel, Rick Owens, Ashish, Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang, Christian Louboutin, Phillip Lim - you get the idea.
Best of all the idea is that you'll actually be able to afford the pieces, so they've promised to make the prices reasonable.
The collection hits stores in London an online tomorrow, and a Future Collectables pop-up shop will be touring the fashion capitals of the world so that style setters across the globe can snap up the pieces too.
