With over 14 million Facebook likes, 1.3 million Twitter followers, catwalk-to-shopping-basket fashion shows and interactive stores, Burberry are at the forefront of the digital revolution in fashion.

So it should come as no surprise to find out the brand’s chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey, has revealed his biggest online inspiration to be the technology giants Apple.

'They're incredibly consistent,’ he told The Telegraph, revealing he has no less than seven Apple items in his office alone. ‘I love the fact that it is a world that you enter where you get immersed in their point of view.’

It's clear that Burberry are aiming for a similar experience for their users online, offering 360 degree angles on every garment, music videos, brand history, bespoke services and blogs on their website.

‘Technology is an intrinsic part of most people's lives. All we've done is make sure to weave technology into the fabric of the company,’ says Bailey.
