There's good news and bad news. First the bad: French brand Cacharel has announced it will not show a collection during Paris Fashion Week in February.
The good news, though, is that the announcement is part of a package of changes at the house that will mean its prices will drop to sit alongside other French contemporary brands, like Sandro.
The changes follow a company overhaul that involved the appointment of a new CEO, Richard Ailbert - who previously worked at Celine - and the news that all design, sales, and advertising will be conducted in-house by French companies.
A name change completes the repositioning – as of Autumn 2013 the brand will be known as Cacharel Paris.
