The model’s latest film role? A starring turn alongside Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess and Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming film adaptation of Martin Amis’ gritty, murder mystery novel, London Fields.

Full details of Cara’s part have not emerged, but judging by this picture, tweeted by make-up artist Sian Edwards, it’s quite a departure from her more recent, opulent outings for the likes of . Cameras have already begun to roll for the black comedy, set in Cara’s East London stomping ground.

It’s the latest triumph of Cara’s fledgling movie career. Back in August, ELLE spotted Cara and friends filming scenes for Brit movie Kids In Love at London’s Notting Hill Carnival. The model’s first flirtation with the acting world, though, was a brief outing alongside Keira Knightley in Anna Karenina.
