Philo, 39, is expecting her third child in April, and label executives said they wanted to limit the stressfulness that surrounds a fashion show.

‘A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director,’ Marco Gobbetti, chief executive officer at Celine, told WWD. ‘The objective is to simplify.’

Gobetti told the paper he’s considering a more intimate presentation format for the A/W ’12 collection, perhaps inviting press into the house’s Paris showrooms.

Despite the unusual nature of a major fashion house downscaling its show in such a manner, Gobetti maintains that it’s ‘business as usual’ at . Philo is ‘designing the collection with her team’ and will attend any presentation.

Celine will keep its predetermined show slot, set for 4 March at 1:00pm.
