It’s not a bad way to start a Monday morning – we just took a first look at brand new flagship store on New Bond Street.

The fashion house secured the spot 18 months ago and has been hard at work ever since transforming it into a store/townhouse/gallery. It covers three floors and 12,600 square ft, and as you can imagine, each and every one is impossibly chic.

The store’s interior was designed by New York based architect Peter Marino and is heavily inspired by Coco Chanel’s Rue Cambon apartment, so it’s opulent and incredibly luxe. There are ornate gold and crystal light fittings designed by Chanel atelier Goosens, lacquer walls, carefully chosen antiques artfully placed throughout, chairs and sofas upholstered in tweed and boucle, walls inlaid with mother of pearl and Chinese carpets. Minimalist it is not. And we love it.

The house also enlisted 21 different artists to create works especially for the store, ranging from the pearl necklace-inspire sculpture by Jean-Michel Othoniel which hangs through the atrium to Marc Swanson’s rhinestone-covered deer.

So what can you actually buy? There are dedicated rooms for bags, shoes and jewellery, two floors of ready to wear and a beauty space too. And right now the store is filled with the tartan-tastic Paris-Edimbourg collection.

The store opens on Wednesday 12 June. Find it at 159-159 New Bond Street, London.
