After refuelling on pancakes and coffee by the pool, we kick-started day two at the Ugg pool party, which was held on a private ranch near to the festival site. Any day that starts by a pool and is accompanied by Margaritas and pulled-pork tacos is a good day in our mind. We were off to a promising start.

We caught-up with rainbow-haired model Chloe Norgaard, who was looking quite the part in a kaleidoscopic outfit of sequins, glitter and more sequins. The free-spirited beauty looks like she was born to go festivals.

Daisy Lowe was there representing the Brits and gave us a quick run down of the bands not to be missed: Bryan Ferry, Disclosure, Little Dragon and Queens of the Stone Age.

Day two inside the festival was a treat for the ears; Lorde was incredible, Beyoncé made a surprise appearance with her sister Solange and Pharrell totally killed it. One of our favourite performances of the night, however, was Fatboy Slim, who looked like he was having the time of his life. As were we.

Coachella isn’t your ordinary festival, with brand-hosted pool and hotel parties popping up everywhere from Indio to Palm Springs just as big as an attraction as the actual festival itself. Dubbed Nochella (get it?), it has become a party pilgrimage for the LA jet-set.

And we were more than happy to go along for the ride. Adidas hosted a party at Frank Sinatra’s house, Soho House had a pop-up on a private estate in La Quinta and Superdry were hosting a hen party for Poppy Delevingne, while Lacoste and Guess also got in on the act.

But the big event of the night was without a doubt the H&M party, with Major Lazor, where it was announced that Alexander Wang would be collaborating on a capsule collection for a/w 2014. Now, we don’t want to brag, but we had heard rumors of a surprise appearance at the party and having spotted him in the crowd at Fatboy Slim we might have called it…

Our last stop of the night was the Neon Carnival, held in an old airport hanger, which did exactly what it said on the tin. Ferris wheels, bumper cars and a helter skelter lit up the desert’s horizon as we made our way there from the festival.

Highlights from day two? Alexander Wang and Hanne Gabbe Odiele bouncing with the crowds at Fatboy Slim, Beyoncé and Solange’s jaw-dropping dance moves and this truffle-glazed burger from Umami Burger.
