Coco Rocha as a dancing hologram? Wearing some of the best pieces from ’ archive? Right up our street. And, thanks to the technical wizardry of LEGS, it actually happened at the Lexus Design Disrupted event during MADE Fashion Week in New York - a ‘live holographic performance art experience’, no less. You can get a look at Coco’s dancing in the clip below, but first, read what Coco and Giles had to say when we caught up with them to talk all things digital.

Coco on the project...
‘My geeky love of technology is pretty well known at this point. When I heard the project would involve holograms and digital mapping it sounded far too intriguing to say no to.’
Coco on her performance...
‘When we started the choreography we only had a very basic soundtrack. As we built up the choreography, the soundtrack was altered and beefed up. Visual effects came in that then changed choreography. It was completely cyclical in nature and very organic, especially for such a digitally extensive process. ‘
Coco on Giles...
‘I love Giles, he's one of my favorite British designers and just a lovely and down to earth man. His pieces added another dimension to the show and helped us have us a clear idea of our characters. ‘
Coco on fashion week...
‘This is my 10th year at the shows so I'm pretty much the grandma among models! These days they take it easy on me in my old age and let me sit and watch shows rather than walk. Of course I’m walking for my dear friend Zac Posen. In 10 years I haven't missed one of his shows. ‘

Giles on the event...
‘When I was approached to be involved I jumped at the chance; a film/performance that was going to use animation, live performers, holograms and great music seemed like a really interesting idea using interesting technology.’
Giles on going through his archives...
‘I chose a number of options which we then whittled down to the final pieces; the giant organza gown for Coco, the silver leather laser cut pieces, the gold velvet kaftan and some goat hair coats and skirts worked the best within the constraints of movement and drama.’
Giles on leaving London a week before his show...
‘The whole team on the production were fantastically organised and my team in London were glad to see the back of me for two days so they could get on with show work uninterrupted!’
