Consuelo's elegant vision for Marni

Using the house's signature geometric prints but this time in a restrained way, we saw a more lady-like and elegant vision than we have seen for a while.

Windowpane motifs were used on silk and wool crepe dresses with strict shapes. Jackets and coats came with rounded shoulders (everywhere for AW11), and furs added a texture.

Marni's skilled use of colour combining was in evidence using brights in a sensitive way; jade over coral, midnight blue and cream, yellow and inky purple. The colour block wedge Mary-Janes were also a highlight.
