Phosphorescent plankton was the inspiration for the British knitwear designer’s show, which ties in perfectly with the iridescent theme that has been emerging this season.

After the vibrant colours of Lawrence’s last collection, as seen in the recent V&A 'Fashion in Motion' retrospective, he ‘craved purity’ for this season’s colour palette. Using kyototex metallic yarn and techno fibres, the entire collection was silver and white.

Knitted column dresses made to mimic the fluid movement of jellyfish, glided down the catwalk. ‘Urchin’ silver woven body-con pieces incorporated Lawrence’s signature ladder stitch. And reflective tassels and fibre optic soft spikes adorned precisely knitted cut out dresses.

For the spectacular finale, lights were turned down low and triggered by the flashes of the camera bulbs, Lawrence’s under water fantasy world sparkled and glowed in the darkness.
