Fashion’s favourite twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are collaborating on a collection with artist Damien Hirst.
New luxury online retailers Just One Eye asked the three to curate this, the first in a long line of artistic partnerships the website plans to release.
The collection brings two icons of modern design together: The Row’s £22,950 crocodile skin backpack – which generated headlines because of the price; and prints similar to Damien Hirst’s spot paintings, in a limited edition collection of twelve pieces.
So, how much will one of these rucksacks set you back? The website says ‘call for price’ but a little digging around has revealed that the limited edition backpacks will cost around $55,000 – that’s roughly £35,000.
But don’t worry, there’s a charitable catch: a portion of each (considerable) sale will go to children’s charity UNICEF.
