When Bionda Castana decided to make a lets be honest, really sexy short fashion film feting the launch of its new shoe collection, design duo Natalia Barbieri and Jennifer Portman knew just the man they wanted for the job: David Gandy.
And who could blame them?
The result is David Gandys Goodnight: a smart three-minute short that was shot in Manhattan and executively produced by David Schwimmers production company, Dark Harbour.
I wanted to create something which explores the emotional relationship between women and their shoes and the effect that can have on them and also on the men around them, explains Barbieri.
When the conversation came up as to who the lead should be, all eyes were on David. There wasnt another male we wanted to play the role.
