Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana make no secret of their admiration for ELLE favourite David Gandy. The Essex-born male model starred (memorably, we might step out on a limb and posit) in Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrance ads, and regularly walks in their menswear shows.
The designers are formalising their creative relationship with Gandy through a new book. David Gandy by Dolce & Gabbana encompasses photographs from the model’s first catwalk appearances, campaign imagery and unseen portraits from Mariano Vivanco’s calendar shoot.
All proceeds from the sale of the project will go to Project EUPLOOS, a charity that aims to digitise the Uffizi Gallery’s collection of graphic art (called the Gabinetto Disegno e Stampe degli Uffizi).
