Is the way you dress about to change? The autumn winter 2012 issue of ELLE Collections, on newsstands now, argues that designers Raf Simons and Hedi Slimane are about to transform fashion forever.

Their appointments earlier this year to the luxury houses of Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent has seen the industry buzzing with speculation. Writer Holly Shackleton predicts how they will reinvent our wardrobes in these high-profile new roles.

‘It will be a groundbreaking shift in the way we approach clothes,’ Shackleton says. She asked five industry insiders to forecast the changes about to hit the industry, and their responses are illuminating.

While Simons had his in July, when Slimane also presented the 2013 Saint Laurent resort collection to buyers, both designers are preparing for catwalk shows at Paris Fashion Week this September, where the industry will see what they can really do. In the meantime, ELLE Collections offers some predictions.
