By all accounts, 2011 was a huge year for Ibiza. The visitors soared to record levels, but the island proved big enough for everyone.

The parties diversified, new names were added to the rosters and new clubs cropped up or old ones were made over.

This year is set to be even better.

The New Weeklies:
Everyone knows about Space on Sundays or DC10 on Mondays, but what about the newer nights on the island that guarantee a scintillating musical line-up and a bang-up-for-it crowd? Whatever week of the summer you are in Ibiza, these are the weekly parties to know of:

Tuesday

Carl Cox Revolutions at Space A giant of the dance music industry, Carl Cox will curate some of the most cutting-edge line-ups to be seen at space this summer.

Thursday

ENTER at Space

Richie Hawtin curates 5 different party zones for his new club night. The techno king is a pioneer of spectacular club production and this extravaganza of sake, technology and mad lighting may be his boldest yet.

Hot Creations Presents Paradise at DC10

Jamie Jones, the UK’s house pin-up boy, gets given a much-deserved residency this year at arguably the most cutting-edge underground club in Ibiza. Expect palm trees, glitter and sexy bass lines.

Friday

All Gone Pete Tong at Pacha

Pacha gets cool again as the Radio 1 legend takes up his Friday night residency for the second year. Tong has had an eye for the hottest talent for decades now, and this summer will see him attract some of the industry’s biggest names.

The Big Dates:
Some parties are worth booking flights for. Add these key dates to your diaries now:

Azealia Banks at Ibiza Rocks

Ibiza Rocks has a brilliant line-up this summer which includes Mark Ronson, Professor Green and Tinie Tempah. The filth-pop songstress, playing on August 29th, is our date of choice.

The Groucho Pop-up

London’s most salubrious celeb-haunt is setting up in the new Sa Talaia hotel from August 18th – 26th. Beg, borrow, steal or befriend Kate Moss to get in.

123 Ibiza

A line-up that includes Lenny Kravitz, Sting and Fatboy Slim and that promises to blow the island apart? Count us in. July 1st – 3rd

Closing Parties

Go out with a bang and see what memories you manage to cling onto for another year.
Keep an Eye out for:
Keep your ears to the ground - if you're on the island for these parties then you're in for a good time.
Plan Be

New club Plan Be was built with a Mad Max theme in mind, and the outdoor daytime party was sure to be just as wild as the film. It was shut down on its first night due to ‘health and safety’ (read: large club mafia) but is likely to reopen later this summer. Keep your ears peeled because this one is not to be missed.

Heidi’s Jackathon at Sankeys

Sankeys has been stripped of all flashy dancing girls and spangly effects this year and resembles more of the original underground Manchester club. DJ Heidi never fails to get the party started with her eclectic music and pitch-perfect line-ups so if you’re there on July 21st, August 18th or September 22nd, hit it.

Boat Parties

Fashion Music brand We Own take over a catamaran on July 22nd (Feat. Miguel Campbell)

London promoters Krankbrother take over a 120 foot luxury yacht on July 7th

Can’t Stop Won’t Stop go big with a sunset boat party on August 12th with an after-party line-up that includes the Chemical Brothers.
