Georgia May Jagger, out of all the new generation models, is probably the one who suits the Vivienne Westwood brand brilliantly: an English rose with a rock'n'roll edge.
No surprise then that she was picked as the face of the Vivienne Westwood for Palladium tiara, as we reported recently. Now ELLE are able to exclusively bring you the first images of the campaign, shot by long-term Westwood collaborator Juergen Teller.
Asked why Georgia May was chosen for the campaign, Westwood gave a typically straightforward answer, saying: 'We chose [her] because shes absolutely gorgeous. Shes so beautiful and looks wonderful in the jewellery.'
The range is called the Gainsborough Collection and takes inspiration from the paper jewellery that Vivienne Westwood first introduced in her Gold Label autumn/winter 2000/01 collection. Its a modern interpretation of the trompe loeil drawings which featured on the original paper jewellery.
Palladium is, of course, a rare precious metal as well as a brand name. The Gainsborough Collection is available exclusively from Vivienne Westwood Boutiques at the end of October.
