For the first time, models in Ilincic’s London Fashion Week show will wear shoes designed especially to complement the collection—and the runway-ready footwear will be available at high-street prices early next year.

Ilincic is keeping sketches and photographs of the shoes under wraps until after her show on Tuesday morning, but Aldo Creative Director and VP Marketing Douglas Bensadoun piqued our interest with his description of the creative process.

‘Working with Roksanda has been a wild and creative trip,’ Bensadoun told us. ‘Her extraordinary creativity and vision really pushed our design team to new heights. Creating four-piece moulded heels in eight different colour ways proved to be an exciting challenge, like fitting puzzle pieces together. They definitely make a statement.’

JW Anderson, Mark Fast and Preen designed capsule collections for Aldo Rise in past seasons, and Preen will continue the collaboration into SS13. Check back after Ilincic’s show for a first look at the shoes.
