The BFC announces 2013's Fashion Forward winners

The British Fashion Council has just revealed which three London labels will receive Fashion Forward funding this year: Michael van der Ham, David Koma and Holly Fulton.

The initiative, this year sponsored by eBay and supported by the Mayor of London, was set up to help designers grow from buzz-worthy names into successful businesses, and alongside funding the winners also get access to expert business advice from the BFC.

Says Holly Fulton, 'I am delighted to be a part of Fashion Forward for the coming seasons. It is an amazing boost for an emerging designer to have access to the business mentors and show support this offers and adds confidence to both the designer and the label to have this backing.'

'David, Holly and Michael are three very worthy recipients of the 2013 Fashion Forward scheme,' says Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC. 'We have seen them grow through the NEWGEN scheme and are pleased to see their businesses progress to the next level of Fashion Forward sponsorship. We look forward to seeing their collections at London Fashion Week in February.'

Alongside this year's winners, Henry Holland, who won the prize in 2012, is set to work alongside eBay again, creating a collection that will hit the shopping site during London Fashion Week.
