With the great and the good of the fashion world stepping their perfectly pedicured feet onto the streets of Paris for the French capital’s Fashion Week, there’s only one name on everyone’s lips - that of New York wunderkid Alexander Wang and his debut at French fashion house Balenciaga.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the designer. After showing a mature and expensive-looking collection at his final solo show at New York Fashion Week to widespread acclaim and knocking it out of the ballpark with today’s Balenciaga debut, he has now unveiled a specially designed new print.

Collaborating with Samsung, Wang has created an innovative new design process which sees him curate images, patterns and photos from friends, stylists and photographers into one collectively-inspired print.

‘I am most inspired from my everyday life and the people that surround me, so the idea of a co-creation with the people that I admire and respect the most is very exciting,’ said the designer about the project.

Of course, this being Wang, the print will be appearing on a fabulous limited edition bag. Even better, the bag is to be sold to raise money for Art Start, a charity that uses the arts to nurture the creative talents of at-risk children.

‘This collaboration represents a new way that technology and style can come together. And, through a concerted effort, I am happy to be a part of supporting such a great charity as Art Start that embraces creativity and art in a way that can change lives.’

A triumphant final collection in New York, the hottest ticket in Paris and now the coolest charity fundraiser we’ve ever seen – it seems Alexander Wang can do no wrong.
