We love Bicester Village for bestowing us with cut-price designer wares. We’ll love it even more next month when it opens the doors to it annual British Designers’ Collective. In collaboration with the British Fashion Council, Bicester Village champion young British talent, allowing them to sell their collections from a dedicated pop-up boutique for eight weeks.

Within its sleekly designed walls, the pop-up offers a carefully curated selection of dresses, shoes and handbags from the best of the British design talent. Hand-picked by esteemed fashion consultant, Yasmin Sewell, established names such as Peter Pilotto, Nicolas Kirkwood and Preen hang alongside emerging talent like Lucas Nascimento and Athena Procopiou – all at up to 60% off.
Now in its fourth year, the collective is based on the premise that a good design never dates. ‘High-quality finishing, luxury fabrics and perfect production are the distinguished hallmarks of the great British design,’ says Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council. Modern classics, such as best selling dresses by Roksanda Illincic, previous show pieces from Hussein Chalayn and one off pieces of jewellery by Annina Vogel, are destined to become beloved collectables and future family heirlooms.
The shop is as directional and unique as the garments on offer: walls are papered in trompe l’oeil wallpaper, chillers and freezer counters keep extra-ordinary garments such as jewellery and bags 'on ice', while details about the designers and the history of bespoke items appear as visual displays and on video projections.
‘The British Designers’ Collective at Bicester Village is an opportunity for some of Britain’s most exciting designers to showcase their work alongside established heritage labels,’ says Desirée Bollier, Chief Executive of Value Retail Management Ltd. ‘It’s a unique and unrivalled shopping experience that allows visitors to discover new designers at a fraction of the price.’
