Forbes has released a list of the highest-earning celebrities under 30, and while the net worth of these individuals makes us obscenely jealous, the list has also made us very happy indeed. Why? Because half of the people on the list are women. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna all make the top 10, while the richest males listed are Justin Bieber, One Direction, Skrillex, Avicii and Bruno Mars.

This compares to the 2014 Forbes Billionaires Rich List, which included just 172 women out of a total of 1,645 billionaires, meaning that only 10% of the world's billionaires are women. But the Under 30 list shows that things are definitely changing for the new generation, and for the better.

But there is still room for improvement. For a start, the two top spots are held by men, with Bieber apparently worth an eye-watering $80m and 1D worth an estimated $75m. Taylor Swift comes in third with a not-so-shabby $64m followed by Bruno ($60m), Rihanna ($48m), Miley ($36m), Jennifer ($34m), Lady Gaga ($33m), Avicii ($28m) and Skrillex ($18m).
