Chloe the contract killer comes to the UK

It’s been a forward-looking week for Chloe Sevigny. The April '10 ELLE cover star produced her first runway show for Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, and now we hear that she’s about to embark on filming a new TV series—in the UK!

Sevigny is set to star in Shameless creator Paul Abbott’s latest show, Hit and Miss. She plays Mia, a character with a heaping portion of secrets.

‘I’m playing a pre-op male-to-female tranny assassin. It’s very realistic,’ she told BlackBook. It’s being created by a lot of the people who were involved in the original Skins, so it’s going to be very edgy.’

Apparently, Mia is content following her calling as a contract killer, until an ex named Wendy contacts Mia from her deathbed to tell her that she has a 10-year-old son, along with a few other love children. If that sounds complex, keep in mind that Sevigny just finished several seasons as a polygamist with a homicidal family tree and a hidden shopping addiction (that’s Big Love, for the uninitiated. And yo, uninitiated: watch the show. It’s good!).

The role calls for physical training and accent coaching—Mia is southern Irish. Despite the considerable demands of the series, Sevigny is relishing the challenge.

‘I feel this will be my most feminine, most glamorous role to date. I hope that I have enough gay stripes that I won’t get totally attacked. It was the creators’ idea not to hire a boy to play the part, and of course as an actor you’re going to jump on that. I’m going to try to play it as beautiful and as feminine and as glamorous as I can.’
