We wanted to do something that reflected us as a brand, and was very visual rather than wordy, Hill
told us at the launch event yesterday afternoon. It really tells a story about the heritage and family behind Mulberry.
The big birthday book was three years in the making. Fashion photographer Venetia Dearden amassed thousands of photographs, which the Mulberry team whittled into a 480-page compendium of brand iconography.
There are images of red-wigged models texting before a show, logo stamps and leatherworking tools from the Somerset factory, bright lights and big smiles at Mulberrys famous parties, billowing mounds of hydrangeas from the spring campaign and pastoral English countryside scenes.
To the Mulberry designer, the new book serves as a companion to favourite fashion tomes like the Visionaire titles, Slim Aarons Wonderful Life
