New Balmain Designer Named

After weeks of speculation the house of Balmain has announced that the virtually unknown Olivier Rousteing will succeed Christophe Decarnin.

Rousteing is currently in charge of the Womens Wear design studio at the fashion house, a position he has held since 2009, however, he will now take over as its new designer.

Thanks to Galliano’s departure from Dior, the fashion industry is in the midst of a massive reshuffle at the top Paris fashion houses, and Rousteig is the latest in new designer announcements.
