L-Wix plays prom princess

Every spring, high school proms give millions of American girls the excuse to play princess, starlet or vamp, in front of all their friends, teachers and unrequited crushes. (Sometimes, with straightened hair.)

For top catwalker Lindsey Wixson, prom raised a slightly different prospect—the opportunity to play normal.

The model, who just turned 17, returned to her Wichita, Kansas school for prom over the weekend. There were a few differences between Wixson and her fellow prom-goers, namely, her custom Jason Wu dress and the fact that a CNN camera trailed her through the proceedings.
