From Dolce, we headed to Liberty, for the launch of Liberty x Nike trainers. Even the most heel-devoted of the ELLE team found herself lusting after one of the styles, from the whimsical floral pair to the vintage aeroplane hi-tops.
Then it was a quick scoot down Oxford Street for a party to kick off the Oxfam Curiosity Shop at Selfridgesor rather, in Selfridges car park. Dont think we were slumming it: we joined a crowd including Annie and Tali Lennox, Rupert Friend, Lisa Snowdon, Zoe Ball and Colin Firth, supporting wife Livias involvement in the project.
Imogen Heap serenaded the star- and banker-filled crowd before a charity auction that raised £215,000 for Oxfams global womens projects. The top-grossing lot was a set by Annie Lennox. Four bidders donated £15,000 each for the right to request a song. So what did they choose? Sisters Are Doin It for Themselves, Sweet Dreams, Angel and Why.
