The fashion pack are on their way to Milan as we speak (literally - all the editors are boarding the same plane at Terminal 5) and there's one rumour that's keeping them occupied. Has Stefani Pilati been ousted from Yves Saint Laurent?
Yes, we know that these whispers have been heard before. Back in September the hottest front row topic was that Pilati was moving on, until YSL said that he had just signed a new three year contract. But now the chatter has started again, and it's all thanks to the Kenzo PR's twitter account.
A post yesterday, that has since been deleted, read 'Just heard BIG news about this being a certain designer at an established French fashion houses last season and being replaced by someone major!!'. It was followed by 'CEO has just left and now the designer replaced by someone who has moved away from design the last couple of yrs but stayed in fashion.'
All clues point to YSL, who CEO left last week and headed to Reed Krakoff. And, while Rumours have circulated in the past that Raf Simons and Haider Ackermann have both been in talks to replace Pilati, the last post seems to point to Hedi Slimane.
There's been no word on the story from Yves Saint Laurent, so we'll just have to watch this space and see what happens. But, needless to say, there's going to be much speculation and discussion bout it over the coming days...More
