While the rest of the world watched from Picadilly Circus (where the show was streamed), and live on the brand's website, the stars truly came out for Burberry this season. Naturally, most of them were wearing the British label, from Donaldson (in scarlet trench) to Elie Goulding (in SS11 studded trench and patent Burberry heels) to Jacquetta Wheeler (in cropped black biker teamed with Erdem mini dress) and Bilson (in a full length black puffa). Only Samantha Cameron stuck to her outfit of beige Osman shirt-jacket, Whistles shirt and Zara shoes...but as she attended nearly every key show of the day, we don't blame her for not finding the time to change. With a daunting bank of photographers outside, and an entrance walk that was almost as long as the runway, passers by in Kensington could have been forgiven for mistaking the Burberry show for an Oscars ceremony.
Someone at ease in front of the flashbulbs was the immaculately attired Kate Bosworth, wearing a cropped Burberry trench and studded SS11 pencil skirt. We caught up with her after the show, and she revealed her favourite looks to to us: "I loved the silhouette of the long skinny pant over the big shoes, and the use of mixed woollens. It all had a very fun feel, very swinging sixties". We look foward to seeing how she wears the collection.More
