Winner of ELLEs Talent Launchpad competition and presenting her first fully-fledged catwalk collection on the London Fashion Week schedule, designer Zoe Jordan pulled in quite the influential crowd.
Sir Stuart Rose, Brit Smith Start, Natalie Imbruglia, Sir Harold Tillman... Admittedly she does have quite flashy credentials; daughter of F1 boss Eddie Jordan and part of a go-getting London set, Zoe certainly has friends in high places. But this collection made all that peripheral.
Known for mixing slouch with stiff, Jordan kept up the signature with loose silk tops attached to tight sequin fishtail skirts and British wool knits over tweed cigarette pants. The themes were Wall Street, vintage jewels and military heritage which were shown at once with great success. There was also a beautiful line of antique lace cocktail dresses; despite the formal connotations, still managing to look relaxed. Irwin & Jordan has cemented its growing reputation as a contemporary brand to watch. Expect a bigger show venue next season with an even starrier cast.More
