This morning London Fashion Week kicked off at Somerset House with veteran Paul Costelloe. It may have been the first show but plenty of people got out of bed to see it - even the larger than life Janice Dickinson was sat front row, causing the first photographers scrum of the week.
Once the show was done and dusted, BFC chairman Harold Tillman officially opened proceedings, before handing over to the new First Lady of British Fashion, Samantha Cameron. Dressed in a chic black blazer and Mulberry dress, she made her first speech as the British Fashion Council's new ambassador. She told the gathered press and buyers, 'I'm here today because I believe we've got the talent and the expertise in this country to take UK Fashion even further and I would like to do everything I can to support that.'More
