William Tempests rise in the fashion world has been nothing short of meteoric, since winning the Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Merit Award in 2009. At the age of 25 his brand is already a mainstay on the fashion week schedules and he counts A-listers Rihanna, Kate Moss, Emma Watson and Victoria Beckham among his celebrity fans.
William has been quoted saying The Brush With Fashion make-up collection is sustainable and cruelty-free, two issues that are very close to my heart. How do you do your bit?
All of the fabrics are natural and biodegradable and I also work with factories and fabric suppliers that have ethical conditions and work to certain standards so it is something that is very important for me. I think as a young brand its good to implement the principles and ethos early. Being a vegetarian as well, I was attracted to The Body Shop as the products are all vegetarian and not tested on animals.
How important is make-up to you and your shows?
For me the make-up and accessories are really what completes the look. You need to have the model in the clothes for them to come to life and thats one of my favourite parts of the whole process to tie my inspiration in with the hair and make-up because it really finishes it off.
