Art of Black Swan

As if office anticipation for Black Swan could be any more intense (Natalie! Mila! Those Rodarte costumes!), the films producers have resolved to tease us even more with this quartet of vintage-style posters.

London design firm LaBoca has concocted four posters in the style of Polish and Czech posters from the 60s and 70s, and ballet adverts from the early 1900s a la Ballets Russes, reported the Guardian.

All four posters blend the features of a fragile dancer with those of a menacing black swan, heightening the tension with a stark black, white and red colour scheme. The beauty, ambition, anxiety and balletic rigour that pervade the film are all there (confession: I saw this on its opening weekend in New York... and yes, its that good).
