She wore an embroidered lace mini with a neckline cut-out by Monique Lhuillier to the ceremony unveiling her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (did you know the Oscar winner didn’t already have a star? Neither did we – congrats!).

"I'm completely overwhelmed and I'm going to try not to cry. I feel so honoured to be getting this star," Paltrow told onlookers. "The idea that my grandchildren can one day come and see my name on the sidewalk is very overwhelming."

Then, last night, Paltrow chose a chaste-in-the-front, saucy-in-the-back column from Emilio Pucci. One long, criss-crossing tie did the important work of keeping the long-sleeved gown’s serious cut-out secured. Note the strappy black sandals echoing the dress’s construction.
