We can generally identify the pieces she has taken from the catwalks of Chanel and Vuitton, the rails of APC and Isabel Marant, and those from her own collection for Madewell. But if we're honest we'd love to know where she finds her accessories, and the quirky bits and pieces which give her outfits an extra measure of kooky character. Which is why we are very excited to hear about "Thrift America;" the show Chung is currently filming in the States, which will track her vintage shopping adventures across the United States.
After failing to engage with American audiences in MTVs Its On With Alexa Chung, the chat show which was cancelled after two seasons, the new programme promises to be a much more appropriate vehicle for Chung, whose reputation for personal style is gaining prominence in New York and on style blogs stateside. The show will see the presenter trawling America's garage sales, flea markets and thrift shops for clothes and homewares. The tour will take in some of the USA's offbeat cities like Nashville and Alabama, as well as established style spots like Brooklyn.
We hope that unlike her Madewell collection, Chung's latest creative endeavour will be available for UK audiences.More
