It began with a sand dune scene projected on to the back wall of the catwalk, then the models walked out from the desert in Arabian drapes and turbans, harem pants, skirts worn over trousers and silk layers under fitted blazers.
The show was called La Femme Bleue and every piece was blue. Sure there was midnight, royal, almost black shades but it's quite an incredible feat to create an entire collection in one colour.
Armani also gave us a stream of the Oscar-worthy dresses he does so well. Asymmetric, transparent, bandeau, sequinned - each worn with flats and sure to be worn on the arm of Mr George Clooney who attended the show.
