With London Fashion Week again kicking off with a weekend, the parties hit the ground running. Friday night saw an elegent Roger Vivier reception at Harrods, with guests including Anna Friel and Ines de la Fressange nibbling on Ladurée macaroons and being serenaded by a winsome Jeanne Marine (thats Bob Geldofs significant other) on ukelele.
A more raucous affair took place later that night at the Westminster Plaza Hotel, where a gargantuan space housed revellers celebrating PPQs show. While recent Mercury Prize winner Romy of the XX DJd, PPQ flexed their party holding might by packing the enormous venue with a young hipster crowd, and keeping the drink flowing all night. The only issue was competing with the crowds for a taxi home in the small hours.
Saturday night saw the fashion pack descend upon the St Martins Lane hotel, with the crowd dividing between the Markus Lupfer party tucked in Bungalow 8, and the Osman Yousefzada bash in the hotel itself. Downstairs, Lupfer fêted his new friend and muse Lydia Hearst, in the company of a stylish set including Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung. Meanwhile the Osman party (we cant type that surname twice) served cocktails to a crowd of industry types who flitted between his do and Henry Hollands, at 93 Feet East More
