But spring summer 2011 is notable for not throwing the kitchen sink at the runway. Gone were the smoking models/TV stars with attitude, gone were the placards and gone was the multi-layered styling that often obscured the skill of the clothes. She is thankfully still protesting of course, and flyers for Reprieve were left on seats.
But on the catwalk we had a stripped back Westwood, simply showing off her iconic drape and corset dresses, Prince of Wales check suiting and tablecloth check skirts. The phenomenal fit and curve of her clothes laid bare for all to admire.
She stormed the catwalk for her finale singing to the tune of "You'll Never Walk Alone". The packed and eager crowd certainly show no sign of leaving.More
