And sure enough, a fantasy of light as air dresses adorned with cascading silk rose heads, devore drape dresses and high-waisted palazzo pants floated down the runway/chocolate river. No power dresses here.

Soft conical shapes were moulded on to busts and armadillo necklines gave a modern edge to romantic silhouettes. Colour combinations of nude with silver and peach (why is that such a dirty word?) and khaki were particularly strong too.
