Yesterday our editor in chief, Lorraine Candy, was joined by the rest of the ELLE team as she introduced London's fashion crowd to the winners of the Talent Launch Pad initiative.
Eudon Choi (who's show is this afternoon), Clemencey London, Irwin and Jordan, Holly Fulton, David Longshaw and Yunus & Eliza have all been given exhibition spaces at Somerset House - so they're sure to attract the attention of the editors and buyers doing the rounds at fashion week.
The ELLE Talent Launch Pad, which was set up with the BFC, gives labels that have been in business for at least two years the chance to team up with our stylists and photographers, and pairs them up with boutiques across the country.
'Whats really important is that it gets them straight into retail, thats the point,' said Lorraine. 'We arent here to help them do a show or to raise their profile, we get them straight into the shops and work with them on their collections. Its a very long term thing and Im interested in Elle being part of long term projects.'
And you can expect to see Lorraine sporting some of the designers throughout fashion week too - 'I am about to do a personal order with Zoe and Irwin but I will undoubtably be popping up wearing all of them.'More
