The British fashion scene simply hasn't been the same since Luella Bartley had to close her eponymous label. So we're very excited to be able to report that the designer is about to hit the fashion radar once more - this time as an author.
Luella is set to publish a book called 'Luella's Guide to English Style' in October. We can't think of a better subject for the woman who championed boarding school meets pony club style. The tome will take a look at exactly what it is about English style that's so cool, from the likes of Kate Moss and the Duchess of Devonshire to the different style tribes that fashion fans fall into. And, of course, there's lots of lovely pictures and illustrations to look at.
It's not an entirely unexpected change of direction for Luella - let's not forget that she began her career in fashion journalism before launching her much loved label. And while we're itching to read the book when it hits shelves, we can't help but cross our fingers and hope that she gets back to the drawing board soon.
Luella's Guide to English Style will be published 14 October for £20More
